Running is my passion. I’ve set records and even been inducted into the UNCW Track Hall of Fame. But over all of those accomplishments, teaching running fundamentals to young people is what I enjoy most. It’s why I love working as the coach of the Laney High School Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track teams. My students will tell you that discipline and perseverance are integral skills to have, but strategy and form are equally important in running. Middle school aged students who enroll in my training program will be evaluated and given a running strategy. I’ll work with them, train alongside them and teach them the necessary skills. With my guidance, students will push to the next level and build their confidence as runners.
Performance Runners Program
These sessions are ideal for runners who can run a 5K within 25 to 29 minutes. This training will build a foundation for proper form with running drills and exercises. PR Elites Program
This program is perfect for runners that are capable of running a 5K within 24:59 or faster. Typical training sessions will consist of dynamic warm up stretching, drills, training runs and a weekly track work out at Laney High School in Wilmington.
This program is ideal for runners who desire to work in a small group of 4 to 6 people.
